In this day and age is still to be expected for husbands to be the only bread winners in the family :?:
Okay….. years ago when the wife actually had an important function, running and taking care of all the household details, it was only right that that she should stay at home while the men went out to work to earn the money to feed the family.
But we are now in the days of washing machines…. tumble dryers… dish washers… and day care for kids. The wife has virtualy nothing to do compared with women of say 50 years ago.
Isnt it time women actually contributed something towards the lavish lifestyles they now receive and maybe even let the blokes take some time off to enjoy the little perks in life that women now take for granted.. 8)
14 April, 2007 at 10:42 am #267605Ugs i work 10/12 hour a day he works 12 hour days he don’t earn that much more than me now
But when he does his shifts he as 4 days on 4 off so why the f00k should i do house work when he is off
He does all the cooking except Sunday when that’s my day to make a full English breaky plus roast dinner
Only fing he don’t do it the washing and ironing because i wont allow him i love doing that
Being married or in a relationship its all about give and take he give i take END OFF
14 April, 2007 at 10:49 am #267606Oh yeah….. I forgot to mention how blokes nowadays are expected to do the cleaning… washing up… cooking etc etc etc. Things that we have taken to with ease I may add. You are a good example of how things should be “fairly” distributed within the family unit Sunny. You work as hard as he does so it is only fair that household chores should be shared. How many more are like you though I wonder :-k
14 April, 2007 at 2:03 pm #267607well Fasty, I actually agree with ya there m8…. us woman aren’t like ‘our mothers and grandmothers’…. time changes…. like my views are… why on earth would I let anyman take care of myself and my children when I can do a dam fine job on my own, still work 2 jobs run my house …. which is bought n paid for….
Men….. the pain in womens’ lifes….. like Menstraul tenstion…. ( don’t anyone laff at the spelling mite no be literite ) Menapause… i sure there’s more… but canny think…

14 April, 2007 at 6:17 pm #267608if both people in the relationship work, then i agree, things should b shared, chores ect., and if one doesnt, they shoudl take up more of the slack around the house ( unless the guys r completely useless at house work, then best to do it urself, might burn the f house down or something lol )
15 April, 2007 at 4:23 am #267609im not allowed to do house work as i make more mess then kids
15 April, 2007 at 9:33 am #267610lol snowie.
every relationships different… people do things how it works best for them in their family unit…… I think regardless of who does what people work far to hard and need more chilling out time, to enjoy the real reason why we are all here.

15 April, 2007 at 10:24 pm #267613Y’know, i’ve been mulling over what fastcars said (above) …. and he has a really good point.
In general women have smaller hands than men, which makes them biologically more suited to carrying out the more simple domestic tasks, like washing, ironing, cleaning & cooking …. not to mention changing the nappies on babies.
Men on the other hand (no pun intended) are better equipped as hunter/gatherers and therefore are less suited biologically to carrying out simple domestic chores.
Let’s face it, show the average woman a harmless mouse and they squeal and leap on top of a chair to escape it. Not exactly ideal characteristics for bringing home the meat eh?
However, show a man an ironing board and a pile of washing and he buggers off down to the pub. Perfect characteristics for a bit of social networking leading to the discovery of fresh meat to bring home.
Proof if ever it was needed that women should know their place and not try to emulate the male role in society.
