I cannot find a link to this story, which was in the London Evening Standard, wednesday 4th of April, page 24, written by Paul Cheston.
The story tells of convicts including children of 10 (known as duty boys), put on a ship at Blackfriars and sent to british colonies in America. Europeans were being enslaved in america several months before african captives in 1619.
Of the first 300, only 12 survived 4 years.
“Deep into the 18th century, these white slaves were the main labour force on the Virginia and Maryland plantations. They outnumbered African slaves as many as four to one.”
The Queen is due to visit america next month at St James town Virgina to mark this 400th anniversary.
At the end of this story, it suggests a book, entitled “The forgotten History Of Britain’s White Slaves In America”, by Don Jordan and Michael Walsh, published by mainstream this month.
The point of this thread, is to expose the myth of those who run our society, that only black people and never white people, have been slaves.
Later this month, when the Queen visists St James town Virginia, will you hear about it? If you do, just cast your mind back to the last weeks and all the media production dedicated to saying sorry to the black man, and ask yourself, a fair report?
Will there ever be a media frenzy over the white slaves by North African Muslims between 1530 and 1780?

I would just like to point out that throughout history every nation has been enslaved by another. The American colonies and us British used people from the African sub continent – as did the portugese who were the first to export slaves from Africa. The Ottoman empire plundered the Mediteranean for slaves, the Roman empire plundered everywhere. NO society throughout the world has been spared slavery in its history. Yes, there is still slavery and something must be done about this – including those who import white slaves into the sex industry in this country – maybe anyone caught using these girls should be charged with rape?
At the time of African slavery, there was a different mind set – the English people weren’t having it too easy either. It is part of our and their history. Let it go. The past can’t be changed. All we can do is learn from it and fight against it happenning again to anyone. Slavery has affected everyone world wide so apologies are unnecessary and I also hear the word Compensation coming about. If so, could I please have some compensation from the Roman empire – Italy etc as I am sure my ancestors were slaves there – or from the scandanavian countries – the Vikings and Normans did their share of stealing anglo saxons into slavery too!

Well the “British” Queen has been in America some days now, and i havn’t seen one single tv clip telling of the white slaves who perished there several hundred years ago. All ive seen is the cock-up of bush, and the plane steps not reaching the floor, i mean…come on.
Ok, Anthony bliar has performed one of his stage shows to the tv coach potato, its a seller, but think back a few months to the black enslavement story, you couldn’t switch on your tv, radio or mobile without the white feathers insisting we appologise for something we hadn’t done, and brainwashing the helpless zombies into submission of guilt.
Us whities dont count anymore, even we think that.
No wonder 350,000 white people leave this country EVERY year.

The first two shipments were not slaves but vagrant (ie homeless) children- rounded up and shipped to Virginia- this continued over the next 150 years to the tune of approx 600 children. It was not white slaves which outnumbered the black slaves, it was white CONVICTS which outnumbered the black slaves. The kidnapping of children occurred for the last 4 journeys over to the US- it was wrong but as usual Emma’s paranoid mind thinks the world is against the white man (bwana)
Of course the vast vast vast majority of labourers in Virginia were convicts and Virginia (along with all of New England) was in fact a large penal colony. One of the drivers for the search and use of Australia as a penal colony was the New Englanders no longer wished their now settled and prosperous part of the world to be swamped annually with felons.

The sad thing is PB, there have been many injustices throughout history which would take the whole of JC to mention but I find it frustrating when someone takes one event and tries to use it for political ends- and that is nothing to do with colour, race or creed.
It is indeed tragic that children (homeless or not) were taken from London to another land and many died on route (although the initial intention, in the mindset of the 17thC was they were sending them to a better life in Viriginia). However it pales into insignificance with the 400,000 children which were taken during the 18th and 19thC from major US cities and shipped to the mid west to increase the population over there and give them a better life.

No he isn’t. He’s just stating some facts (which minght be inconvenient for some).
I really do get a bit bored with this minority hugging whinging about slavery
Many of the slaves that were taken were collected by rival tribes who normally would have simply killed most of them and enslaved the rest, instead they started trading them to the slave traders which meant that many more lived than would have died otherwise, tribal cultures like the aftricans and the asians have used slaves for eons, the white man just came along and made it more organised and a money maker
This constant whinging about slavery is typical tree hugger nonsense, personally if you want to whinge to someone about it find a very VERY old graveyard, dig up a slavers corpse and whinge to them about it coz I personally couldnt give a flying
Its in the past, I didnt do it, the people who were enslaved were far more barbaric themselves anyway and in many cases it massively elongated their life as a result anyway so I personally will not ever feel guilty about something I didnt personally do and refuse to pander to minorities and minority huggers intent on trying to get some sense of self worth by constantly talkiing crap about things that arent relevant anymore
Every race, every country, ever society in the history of mankind pretty much has used slaves or servitude of one type or another so nobody has the right to criticise
Perhaps all this hot air would be better put to use tackling arranged marriages and female oppression which are both no better than slavery and are prevalent the world over instead of whining about things far off in the anals of history that cant be changed anyway?
Or might that be a bit too confusing as it would cause a conflict between slavery “bad” and culture “good”, bit a migraine for limp wristed minority hugging lefties that one innit?
