I would say to anyone if you were looking for a games console, its ok, but if you think it’s going to be a cross between a computer and a games console think again.

The new ps3 should be has good has a new laptop pc, but its not.

The speck is similar to a pc, it has a processor, 60gb hard drive, 256 Xdr, 256 Vram , a Mac operating system and other ports like a pc (usb, wireless and Ethernet).

But that’s where the similarities end.

First you can’t install from a disk, they’re no way to add web cams, printer or anything else that comes with an installation disk.

You just can’t pug it an usb modem for Internet uses.

You need to have wireless to update it.

There is a limited Internet service with only Sony play stations sites on it.

If you buy a game from one of the sites, the game down loads with out the use of zip or compression files, so it takes 2 hours to down load the 640 mb game. (I think its fast to walk down the shop and buy it.)

There is a “chat room” but God know how it works.

You can add your friends and play on line with them if you know their e-mail addy, but there don’t seem to be web cams and mic’s on the market yet, so you can’t talk to each other.

You still can’t play your old ps2 games on it, because they’re no patches available yet.

But it does look good and play well on a HD television, but I don’t know many people under the age of 16 who have a 26-inch HD in their bedrooms.

When you think about it, it should be a great machine, but after trying to sort out for my nephew for the past few days, I feel that its been miss-sold and just a waste of money.

I am sure that if I brought a new pc that was has much trouble has this has been, it would have gone back by now and I would be on the phone to Trading Standards moaning about it.
