Something has been puzzling me for ages now (yes I know, i’m easily baffled), and I’d like to see if any of you can shed some light on it?

You know these coloured ribbons that single issue bigots wear on their lapels – when they are in support of, or anti, something or other of earth shaking proportions …..you know the sort of thing I mean, like AIDS or homosexuals or cancer or God or famine or whatever.

Well tell me …. who choses the ribbon colour??????

    Is it really bothering you?

I think that the particular charity or group would select the colour that represents the aim of the charity?

I did however find these sites for you PB!!!

My particular favourite would have to be the black and white ribbon, would co-ordinate well with SO many things 8)

Well thanks for the responses thus far – particularly for the helpful links from Kermit.

However it still isn’t clear to mee why a particular colour represents a particular issue. Why for example is Pink associated with poofters or is it AIDS or something???

Come on people give us a clue !!!

    Cas

Pink is the colour of the ribbons for the breast cancer charity’s PB. I don’t know why but at a guess i’d say it’s because it represents women. As it’s mainly women who do suffer from breast cancer i’d say it makes sense.

I think it was a term of endearment to our french member who posted a reply, cant remember the name, but something about “shat at a table”

Well THIS Kermit does seem somewhat similar eh? The phraseology even seems spookily familiar. We shall see if she insists on ”the last word” …. then we’ll know for sure huh?

But my money says that it IS our old friend returning from her hissy fit to do battle with all her enemies – and let’s face it there are loads of ’em.

I think I remember one of the replies saying ( to ms lambrini) ” we cannot simply delete a user as it would make old threads unreadable and non-sensical or something like that”……….

OK. ive just realised what I just wrote and Rubes and hey ho……….
