When you reboot your pc you’ll get a message along the lines of You have used selective startup blah blah. Check the box Do Not Show This Message Again, and you should be OK.Or you could…

Ok Owen thanks I,ll try all that. What I still want to know though is, what exactly is it, and why have I suddenly got it and what is it,s function in life? I never had it before I downloaded IE7 and all of a sudden I have it. :? :?
15 November, 2006 at 7:41 pm #248759i had the same problem. mine was down to blueyonders instant support tool, so i uninstalled it. i know it’s prob not much help, but sometimes it’s nice to know you’re not the only one :D

Ahhhhhhhh Andy you may just have hit the nail on the head there. That BT help icon appears in my task bar when that happens. But why do it now? Maybe I,ll uninstall that then and see if that stops it. Very weird. I,m glad these things dont just happen to me. Thanks.
:) :)15 November, 2006 at 10:41 pm #248761i’m no expert, but i’m guessing there is a compatability issue between ie7 and motive. everything was fine until i installed ie7, then everything went tits up!
it’s more annoying than anything else, error messages drive me up the wall

Yes me too. and why for the love of Christ, cant they be written in English? Bat language I understand perfectly, pc language, which is written in fluent punjabi, no chance. Well it,s nice to know these things dont just happen to me. Every time I get another “problem” PB, bless him, , tells me to set fire to my pc and claim on the insurance!!
16 November, 2006 at 10:42 am #248763Well it’s the only sensible thing to do O Batty one. Your PC is loaded with rubbish and covered in bat cr@p, torching it would put it out of its misery.

the insurance company’s reply would prob be
‘you have performed an illegal operation and you will be sent down…for 5 years’
:lol:all error messages should be replaced by one simple one
‘your computer is knackered’
