    hiya kenty

it could be a simple case of it over heating, can you see or hear if the fan is workin they might of dislodged a cable when they repaired it last time ?? see if the vents on the bottom and sides are blocked

or failing that stop usin it on your bed and put the comp on summat hard and flat :D :D :D

Have you tried booting it in safe mode kenty?

it could also be down to spyware or a virus of some sort

you will have to run something like “ad aware” and your anti virus program

hi ian xxx erm one of the probs is that kenty can`t run her AV so I`d firstly think her pc`s deffo infected. :?

Kenty…if you can, turn off your system restore, then restart in safe mode. Hopefully you`ll be able to run your AV in safe mode. At least it`s somewhere to start :?

lol I`m good thanks ian xxx Hope you`re keeping well.

The first things I personally would suggest is as above. All restore points will be lost when she turns it off but thats just one of those things. Also opening a window (ie my documents) then going to tools, folder option, view then to make sure that `show hidden files and folders` is ticked. Boot into safe mode by tapping F8 on startup, then selecting `safe mode`. Hopefully the AV will be able to scan. Well thats the theory anyway.

hey u 2…cheers for ur help (as useless as some of urs was ian! )

just managed to get online, havent tried all thats been suggested yet….but also my puter not turned itself off too….and it’s letting me run the anti-virus :D
any chance this might be connected with the download of the new msn (only just downloaded it yesterday) anyways seems to be ok apart from taking 5 mins to load a feking page up!!

    feking puters

If the msn is the only thing that`s changed then I guess it could be that which is causing you the probs, although I can`t really say for sure kenty.
Hopefully, if there is something on your system that shouldn`t be there your AV wil pick it up.
See how you go and obviously if it`s still not right then seriously consider uninstalling the msn and going back to the previous version you had.
Mine`s taking me ages to sign in but I haven`t actually decided whether or not to uninstall it yet. :?

Here`s some links about probs ppl have got with the new msn:
