AVG found I-Worm/Bofra, in Norton SystemWorksNorton AntivirusQuarantineIncomingAPO.htm I deleted the file when prompted as it couldn`t be healed successfully. I also downloaded the fix tool from Symantec, and scanned the system, it didn`t find anything.
I also thought it may be an idea to boot in Safe Mode to scan thoroughly but for some reason my puter won`t allow me to run it in Safe Mode. It just keeps kicking back to the `Start Windows Normally` screen. Can anyone help me sort out why please? :?

What method are you using to boot in Safe Mode?

I just tried running me AVG in safe mode and it worked perfectly, so I’m bug*ered if I know what’s wrong with yours!!

A lot of good you 2 are huh?

I turned off system restore and on restart I tapped F8 to boot into safe mode Owen but it didn`t want to work, so I followed instructions to `run` then msconfig, then safe mode on startup, that didn`t work either. Spent hours sorting out reinstall of XP and it`s all ok now. Apparently it was summat to do with a file that was missing somehow :? I`ve lost all my music and some family pics again but I`m just glad I`d saved some folders of certain stuff to disc first. :D

I didn`t do a full back up, I took one look of how to do it on XP and decided against it  :? I can`t believe that the backup is so bloody technical on a system like XP.
I`d saved some important stuff to disc the other night, not too bothered about the music really as I can always get it again. :D
My puters quite a bit quicker now tho (til I get more crap on it) so it`s all good. :D
