sheep sheep, sheep shaggers1 August, 2006 at 12:15 am #233084:lol: Who gives a flying fuck about Leicester? They’re like Tranmere, they like to think they’re part of the rivalry but the real rivals don’t give a toss. All that matters is another season when we’re guaranteed to finish above the wilting Trees.

Looking forward to the season with great anticipation – after our disatrous flirtation with the Premership last season
Quinny looks to have got things in order – and has tabs on a few good signings – and with money in the bank – who knows ?
Only problem with having a 50,000 capacity ground – when theres only 30,000 there it looks empty – but most Championship teams would love to have 30,000 crowds
We have had a great pre-season for a change – so I’m hoping for good thingsI’ve always had a soft spot for Derby from the Clough era – and some great players about that time
Also my favourite mackem came from Derby – Colin Todd – one of the most underrated players ever2 August, 2006 at 2:23 pm #233088Now the Baseball ground really was a place to see a match! Quality on a pudding pitch.
All things move on though, just like the move from Roker Park to the Stadium of Light, but theres always the whiff of nostalgia just around the corner.
Championship is going to be a tight one this year and I can’t see yet a team which is head and shoulders above the rest

We shall see – it’s early days yet
Birmingham are the bookies favourites – yet I reckon they have lost too many players – and signed some shyte
That may come back to haunt me as we play them in out first home game -week tonight
Can’t wait for that
My season ticket was cheaper than last years – so thats a bonus – only complaint so far – is WHY change the away strip – it was changed last year
Makes it expensive for those with kids – plus last years was black – looked really good – this year’s is that sickly Man City blueI fancied Derby to do well last year Slayer – but they never met expectations
2 August, 2006 at 9:19 pm #233090My perenial fear is Derby turn into Nottm Forest (imagine how much of a fear that is!)- they have the potential to do well but relegation is no friend of “potential” or “reputation” –
Worst thing is living where I do, I see a lot more of Lincoln City than I do of Derby so Lincoln has become, in the words of General Melchett “like a son to me, not like the loved fruit of my loins but an illegitimate back street son, but a son none the less”- been fun to watch Lincoln get to 4 play offs (and 2 finals) and fail every time.
Leeds, Preston and Palace will be up there this year- maybe a play off head to head for Sunderland and Derby! Of course, only one outcome but 2 seasons in the championship will do you good
Southend, Luton and Colchester will struggle (watch this space for the humble pie though)
Feel’s like last season only just finished n it’s time again- football every weekend!
