There is a thread about Scottish Single Mothers, so I have decided to temper it with a one about whisky. I have a penchant for a wee dram or two and wondered if anyone else indulged.
I have tasted a few in my time and am currently making good headway into a Macallan (not right at this moment I hasten to add!) Have you any recommendations or experiences you wish to share or do you just drink fire water.
Remember whisky is not to be confused with whiskey, which is purely the Irish version to be sure. Some may say better, smoother yes, but better? Well, seeing as there are loads of Scots (and Scots with Spots) on the the boards, and most have plenty to say, come on the noo whats yer favourite whisky?

He’s like a Whisky sqirrel lol – stores it all, and only ever opens them on special occasions.

14 July, 2006 at 10:49 am #230582Becky, that is sacrilege! You should only add a small drop of water or ice at the most, but never mixers. Are you sure he drinks single malt? I think it must be the fire water that My Ruby speaketh of (I will forgive her, but just this once!). Tell him to give the Macallan a go….. and no ginger!

Agreed – although my dad would have a fit at even the ice going in to ruin it
