i,ve registered to chat 5 days ago and although i c an enter the chatrooms every time i try to chat i get the message that text is ignored cos i,m using a banned word, the only thing i,ve used is hi or hello. I can chat in private rooms but not in the main chatroom. Please help this is very frustrating!!!
The chances are that your user name in the chatrooms contains a banned word or is itself a banned word.
As an example – the word ”arsenal” (as in football club) is a banned word because it contains …arse.. in it.
If you try to enter anything at all the software looks at both your user name as well as the text that you type and if any of it is banned – it blocks it and sends you the message that you in fact got.
So……. do tell…….. what is your user name in the chatrooms ????? :lol: :lol: :lol:
H ello.Thanks for the reply to my problem. I have only ever used the name Ladyb44 in any of the chatrooms, I only joined this site 10 days ago and still have,nt managed to chat. I can only chat in pc. But if i log on with a different name wont i be banned for using multiple names? Its a bit of a dilemma and i still dont know what to do!!!! :-s

So can I take it that you havnt actually been in any of the rooms as yet, you,ve only managed to chat in pc? Well there is nothing wrong with your nic. Ok, I,m assuming you,ve never used our chat rooms before. Pick a forum, enter your chosen nic and a pasword. btw, no nics with msn/cam or phone or obscene nics allowed.Then click on say 40,s and click join room, and you should be in and able to chat. I,m also assuming you have java installed? If you,ve done all that and you still cant get into the rooms then I honestly dont know what to suggest….Any bright ideas from you Owen Mr Google Cash? :wink: :wink:
OK I’ve done some tests and it seems that the ”b44” part of your user name is what is tripping off the software. Why this should be I simply don’t know. ”b4” is OK as is ”B 44” it simply doesn’t like ”B44”. (The chatrooms are not case sensitive.
My advice is to use the name ”LadyB 44” or ”LadyB_44” or even ”Lady44” and all will be well.
