Yes we have a bad reputation throughout the world for kicking off during these tournaments, however, I believe it wasn’t the English fans’ fault on this occasion. It’s those German Hooligans provoking our lads over there. Anyone agree??
25 June, 2006 at 12:03 pm #228048I just think some people don’t know how to behave in public especially when they go abroad. I mean if you go to Germany, get drunk and rowdy and then start insulting the Germans well that’s just asking for trouble.
I think hooligans and other anti-social types will get a big wake-up call when the world cup is held in South Africa. They won’t tolerate that sort of stuff over there. If the locals don’t sort you out then the police certainly will.
25 June, 2006 at 12:29 pm #228049I thought this problem with the English hooligans was over. Disgraceful behaviour from the English [-X . The Germans were clearly provoked by bald, drunken, fat Englishmen singing about WW2 and throwing model Spitfires at the poor Germans.
25 June, 2006 at 1:10 pm #228050From what I saw and heard reported on BBC News 24, and in the Observer today, the English fans were taunting the German fans, being racist and singing songs about world war 2. And this makes it the fault of the German fans, HOW?
Disgraceful.

It doesn’t. it makes it the fault of the drunken englishmen who can’t behave themselves
If they had a tournament in the olympics for ”blaming others for their behaviour” the english would win hands down. I hope the germans send them all home and don’t allow them any further hospitality in their country
25 June, 2006 at 5:16 pm #228052How many England fans do they say are over there? 70,000? 100 get arrested – thats 0.001%.
Sorry but as a proportion more people probably get arrested for picking their nose in public.
Lets put things into proportion.
