i am sure this year the rules in the world cup is that if two teams are level on points, then the deciding factor, would be the result between the teams in the match thay played together?
is this correct or not? i am not sure
if this is correct, then germany have made it to the next round, regardless of the result tommorow? so why did the bbc say that, depending on the result of Costa Rica and Ecuador Germany might quailfy tommorow?
i take it from the rule above, they have made it to the next round no matter the result tommorow?
Goal difference is the first deciding factor and then it goes to goals scored.

looks like we need to win our group to avoid germany, not that we should be scared of germany anyway
Bring on the Germans I say. I can’t think of anything more satisfying that to humiliate them in front of their own crowd in their own country.

I think England can beat any team out there, too much focus on wayne playing though, we don’t need him yet, Owen will score a couple tonight
If Sweden and England both win today then Sweden could still win the group by beating England next week.
England will want to avoid Germany until the Quarter’s at least. The Germans arent a shadow of their team of 10-15 years ago, but their effiency is still there, and with home advantage they’re gonna be hard to beat.if you going to win the world cup, you gotta play the big teams at some point

I dont think this is gonna be a walkover for England tonight Soulie. I think England will win, but Trinidad wont be any pushovers.
England would be favourites on paper, but this German side whilst not great will still be hard to beat. It would be a tough game.
I dont hate England or the English people. :wink:.Sweden will still rise to win the group. :D
