What an anti-climax. :( Ronaldo looked about 20 stone. Brazil didnt impress me at all.
Most teams don’t impress in the first game. We’ve still to see the best football from a lot of teams.
I agree. Which is why I’m not worried about England just yet. Teams with aspirations have got to be looking to peak at about the quarter finals, when the real clash of the titans stuff happens.
Yeah, but unless Ronaldo goes on a super crash diet and loses 20 pounds in the next few weeks I dont see him having much of an impact. It was horrific to look at the shape of him. He’s way fatter than John Hartson. :shock:

They’ve got attacking talent coming out of their arse. I’d fear for them more if some of their defensive bunch start misfiring. Not an awful amount of cover there. The Arsenal fellow Gilberto should get some games when that big lump they’ve got playing in front of their back four gets himself suspended.

My especially posh, Farquarson’s of Mayfair wallchart, gives someone from the Portugal, Holland, Argentina side of the draw for the Quarterfinals.
Farquarson’s, by the way, is pronounced Puddleduck’s. It’s done, like Magdalen college being pronounced Maudlin, to allow general sniggering at common people. :D

yea I was a bit disappointed in Brazil , there again Croatia are no mugs – they have kept the same team more or less for years – they could have snatched a draw
Ronaldo to me looked too big all of last season – but last night he just didn’t look interested at all
It’s shaping up nicely though – Argentina and italy have impressed so far followed by Holland – Robben has had the best individual display for me – by a mile
