Now I know most of the people on this site think “they everything about everything”, which is starting to scare the hell out of me.

Most of the people I meet in the room seem to be out of work and for the most part I can see why.

So I thought I better put a few web pages up for the main pluming site up before one of you “diyers” kills yourselves over the Bank holiday weekend.

After 21 years working in the industry, I know that it’s going to be a busy weekend.
All my staff will be on call again and know one is happy about it.

And you claim to be in work and for the most part I cannot understand why. It’s certainly not because of your grasp of basic English grammar.

Next time I need a ‘plumer’, I’ll make sure I take a wide berth from the Brighton section of the Yellow Pages. I think I’d rather ‘diy’.

I would have to agree with Magoo on this one.

And as for your staff being on call and not happy about it!

Well….. my heart bleeds for them, it really does.

What does posting on a forum have to do with being out of work?

That’s our old friend ”Toss Pails” isn’t it Tommy. Wasn’t he also (briefly) the Editor of the JC Times???

I’m self employed and today I have nothing to do work-wise! So today I’m out of work. Also I’m in the process of some ongoing DIY work – painting the interior of my garage white (long job – breezeblocks and masonry paint!). Is there a trade body to which I should turn for advice about painting safety?

Also, if I was at work I wouldn’t be on the computer right now. I’m only on the computer because I’m waiting in in case I get a work call from the agency. At 10 o’clock I’m off out and any work can wait until tomorrow!!!

Bas – It could be that our resident plumber (or ”pummer” as he prefers to call himself) might be able to assist you with some misspelt words of advice.

Painting and decorating can be a dirty job and expert advice is not to be lightly sneered at.

Apparently, he is a member of OW-WAIT (Organisation for Workers – With Arm In Toilet), and he is something of an expert in cleaning up other people’s messes.

I’m sure he will turn out to be a mine of information.

    Where to start with this.

First of all you can’t put your arm down a toilet any more, it’s a category 5 waste martial and is now far too dangerous to handle. Ask the WRAS why.

But its one of out most common call outs over the weekend and cost £110 + VAT

Magoo only Magoo only uses trades people with “basic English grammar” mmmmmmmm……….. Good luck, I can’t get someone who can work in a office do can do that.

Bassingbourne55 advice about painting safety can be found at any good diy store, free.

And Pb should you be “saving” ToMmY-ToXeN again? I hear hes in the rooms and there picking on him again.
