    i need help desperately,well not desperatly but pretty badly

    i cant access my hotmail. every time i get into it within secs its taken over by a page that looks like a search page and pop ups.
    i have ran my virus search and spy were and they havent picked anything up. also been in add/remove programs but nothing there
    its doing my head in as tried to get into my hotmail a few times now

    just remember im totally computer illiterate so u really need to spell it out for me

    Which version of Windows do you have, and what spyware tools are you
    using?
    Click ‘Tools’ at the top of the screen.
    Click ‘Internet Options’.
    Click ‘Privacy’.
    Click ‘Advanced’.
    Tick the box ‘Override automatic cookie handling’.
    Accept ‘First-party Cookies’. Block ‘Third-party Cookies’.
    I don’t know if this will solve your problems but I recommend it to everyone! 8)

    ty owen but that didnt work

    im runnin windows me
    i have webroot spysweeper
    ad-aware SE
    and AVG anti virus

    my home page wont stay on google it keeps changing to ‘about:blank’
    its my hotmail that its affecting badly
    everytime i go to my mailbox it changes to this search page, cant read or send mail at all.
    also pc keeps freezing
    its doing my head in :? :?

    Apparently CWShredder is one of the only progs to stop the `about blank`

    the guy who tried to sort it out last nite for me said yes he did
    i think its gonna have to have a trip to the repair shop me thinks :(
