Wot’s it really all about? Where did it come from?
My grandfather, who is Jamaican, came to this country and set up his own market stall, he never once claimed off the government, he was one of the first black people to reside in our local town, and when my white gran married him it caused a stink, as u can imagine back in those days it wasn’t the done thing, and still isn’t to a degree, after a while the people of the town got to know my grandfather for WHO he was, not wot the colour of his skin made him, he was a very well liked character and also boxed for a living, calling himself The Bermuda Kid, he boxed for the fairgrounds. Now my mum and her brothers and sisters suffered rascism when they were growing up because they were neither black nor white, but ‘in between’ and that came from blacks and whites, but we were always brought up to respect anyone, albeit the colour of their skin, their gender, their sex, their religion, their beliefs, etc etc etc. We are, wot we’re taught, and sometimes views are passed on down the generations. Some people are just plain ignorant, but I can also see the flip side of the coin where ppl use their colour to their advantage and can totally understand why that wud infuriate some ppl. We shouldn’t tar everyone with the same brush tho should we? My moto is, treat ppl how I expect to be treated myself, if they wrong me, then they get no second chance, but I never pre-judge anyone, how ignorant is that? It’s a sad world that we live in today, their are alot of prejudices out there, and not just against ppl of coloured skin…… just be the best person that you can be, live and let live, don’t judge and assume, maybe we’d all get on better? Who know’s………

We don’t execute a muslim for covering their face up even though it’s not our way of life.
What we do have is a few mislead, angry white people who feel their own culture and national identity is being stolen from them and they’re getting a kick in the teeth – so they strike back with violent views or in many cases physical violence.
It’s going to get a lot worse. What are the statistics? In 60 years time white people will be an ethnic minority in their own land – Do you think the last remaining survivers are going to see their race become extinct without becoming very violent?
They’re frightened they’re going to be treat how the yanks treat their natives, shoved into camps and forced to live as second classed citizens, they’re also afraid of the islamification of Great Britain, we’ll be forced to go to mosque, believe in a different religion, wear those clothes or be executed etc etc.
Civil war is on the horizon. Luckily we’ll all be dead by the time it kicks off, but our grandchildren won’t..
Tommy’s the wise one here…. and I fully agree, it’s frightening to me wot mite happen in the future when my Son is all grown, how can we as individuals change things? :?

Scare’s the hell out of me too Angel, but as individuals we can teach our children to respect other people’s views and cultures, to be tolerant, but also be strong and proud of who we are. :wink:
