Other week when my puter was running slow I decided to use the re-load disc that came with it …….
Since then Ive re installed my virus scan & firewall & everything else that had to be done …However I am getting alot of POP-UPS  why is this happening………..?
These pop ups are mainly to do with casino`s & online poker …..
does anyone have any advice how I can stop this from happening ?

He said his pc was running slow and he had started to get popups.
That’s a infested pc! :wink:Rule 1 of things you must do before installing Service Pack 2 is,
remove dodgy software; or words to that effect.
Check out Microsoft if you don’t believe me.A man accused of infecting PCs with spyware has been fined $4m.
The US Federal Trade Commission has ordered Sanford Wallace to hand
over the money he made by putting the unwanted software on
computers. The FTC imposed fines because Mr Wallace did not get permission from
users to install the software that bombarded them with pop-up adverts.8 May, 2006 at 11:01 pm #212861yes, his pc was running slow, so he re formatted his pc with the re store software that came with his pc (it was’nt running slow after, just the random pop ups you get)
for me, first thing i do after a format and i get windows xp on, is go to the windows update page, and download the latest service pack
