In light of the revelation that John ‘Two Shags’ Prescott, the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party has admitted having an affair, should he be told to resign by Tony ‘Two Faces’ Blair?
26 April, 2006 at 8:35 pm #211412I hate the mentality these days that everyone who has an affair or sucklike should be sacked.
Fair enough, it’s not a good example, but it’s his own private life – I don’t care who he’s doing it with, and quite frankly the thought of John Prescott haviong sex makes me feel ill. :-… So I wish the media would shurrup about it.
Affairs are happening all over the country, it’s a fact of life – but as long as the person is still doing their job properly, then their private life it their own business.
26 April, 2006 at 8:59 pm #211413OMG – I just noticed I typed ‘Sucklike’ instead of ‘suchlike’
One track mind
26 April, 2006 at 9:16 pm #211414Prescott is our deputy prime minister, though that is something of a courtesy title since Gordon Brown clearly takes precedence.
Politicians having affairs is a non-party matter since Labour, Conservatives, Lib Dems have all had examples. John Major and Edwina Curry had an affair, Paddy Ashdown admitted to having one, as did the late Robin Cook.
I don’t condone politicians or anyone else having secret affairs but these things happen.
It is not a resignation matter, unlike the Charles Clarke prisoner release booboo.

if a bricklayer does same what then??? he’s harmed his wife and family and himself maybe that doesnt mean he cant do his job in my opinion
Depends – it is unlikely that a bricklayer would be employed on the strength of his strong family values, or if a bricklayer has access to ultra top secret information (disclosure of which would cause grave damage to the nation) or if a bricklayer would be expected to stand in for the PM during his absence representing and making decisions on behalf of the entire country. This is NOT an ordinary set of circumstances so just because some people think it’s okay for married bricklayers to shag their secretary, it doesn’t necessarily follow that Prescott can.

26 April, 2006 at 9:59 pm #211417I see becoming a cabinet minister as having ‘made it‘ Years of being the voice of the people has finally paid off and now it’s time for ME to reap the rewards. With POWER comes privilege and with privilege comes opportunity. JP has simply taken advantage of his situation. It is not a job he has, but more of a social experience. What bricklayer has a ‘Diary Manager’ ffs, apart from maybe his unpaid wife.
Time to kick out Labour I say!!!!!!
26 April, 2006 at 10:04 pm #211418You’ve got to admit that the Diary Secretary wasn’t bad looking was she??? Do you suppose he ‘did’ her in the back of his Jag?

Don’t you mean ‘Jags’
This says it all for me…….
Recently, she spent time alone with her boss at his luxurious 215-acre country retreat in Dorneywood, Bucks.
