I know Im a new chatter, wet fish or fresh blood as they say. Shot me now.
What do you consider as good and bad manners.? I must say its one thing that does repulse me of others, when they have entirely no manners at all.
Civilty costs nothing like Manners, I do find myself muttering away under my breathe or even at times telling people of my disgust. Please and Thank-you, or like my young daughter used to say ‘peas and carrots’.

3 March, 2006 at 8:54 am #200657Not too sure about good manners, but Bad Manners is a pain in the ar/se. :D
Seriously though, manners cost nothing and saying please and thank you seem to be a dying habit. Holding a door open or being polite or courteous should come as second nature.
3 March, 2006 at 8:58 am #200658lol Greebo.
like what has been said above, manners cost nothing. Treat others as you yourself would like to be treated – or at least try to.
Good manners – being considerate and polite
bad manners – the list is endless!!!

im goin for a shify at your poem now.
3 March, 2006 at 9:41 am #200662I think manners are highly important. I have bought my children up to always say please and thank you, and also to write out thank you notes for birthday/xmas presents received. I find it highly rude when you fork out money and time on buying gifts for people/kids etc and you don’t get a simple thank you in return , grrrrrrrrr !
3 March, 2006 at 9:51 am #200663Mrs Clean i do this with my children as well, its automatic to me as this was the way I was brought up. With good family values, how respect is long gone these days. I do cringe at times when hearing how even some parents speak to their children then they expect respect. My old Grandfather used to say, You earn respect with good manners.
AbitofMary_J I am female sorry Ally short for Alison.
