If you’ve ever seen the Movie “ALIVE” about the south American rugby team whose plane crashes in the Andes, you’ll know it was based on a true story, and that the crash survivors turned to cannibalism to stay alive.
Would you eat the flesh of your dead fellow passengers if this happened to you?
Would you eat it raw as they did? Or would you only eat human flesh if it was cooked?
If you had some vegetables, but not enough to sustain you, would you add them to the pot to make the human stew a bit tastier?
2 March, 2006 at 10:24 pm #200579I saw that film again recently. At one stage a guy asks his friend “Are you not going to eat today” as if it’s a Chocolate Fudge that’s on the menu and not a bit of human flesh.

Many fireman are put off pork once they smell a human burning and the
cannibal word for a human they’re going to eat translates as long pig.2 March, 2006 at 10:26 pm #200581If you’ve ever seen the Movie “ALIVE” about the south American rugby team whose plane crashes in the Andes, you’ll know it was based on a true story, and that the crash survivors turned to cannibalism to stay alive. Yep – seen it a few times
Would you eat the flesh of your dead fellow passengers if this happened to you? Only if it was an absolute last resort – but I’d probably be sick trying :-…
Would you eat it raw as they did? Or would you only eat human flesh if it was cooked? Cooked – with a nice glass of chianti fffffffff  (I couldn’t eat raw animal meat, never mind human)
If you had some vegetables, but not enough to sustain you, would you add them to the pot to make the human stew a bit tastier? Damn right – every little helps
I think we would all be amazed at the lengths we would go to to survive if something awful happened – it’s human nature.

Pigs are genetically modified using human genes for future organ transplants
too. If a pig were bred using some of your genetic code, the theory is that
your body would accept a organ from that pig.Another thread perhaps?
2 March, 2006 at 10:34 pm #200586If you had been in this plane crash situation, and you’d severed an arm or a leg, and your wound was healing up etc, would you eat you own leg or arm in preference to someone elses?
2 March, 2006 at 10:43 pm #200587well appently you can survive 3 months without food.. 3 days without water, so i’l lprobablt eat loads of snow, and if by 2 months nobody would have rescued me, i would have given up hope.. and well, probably hang myself or somthing
