    Keys

    Hello All

    This is my first post on these boards but I’d like to say how much I’ve enjoyed reading the poems that some of you have written. By way of an introduction, I thought I’d post a short one of my own:

    Her Eyes

    Deeper than an auburn sunrise
    Dark as isolation
    Shining like a birthday surprise
    Clear as inspiration

    Younger than a bubbling spring
    Wiser than the moon
    Precious as a wedding ring
    Soft as a rose in bloom

    As natural as harmony
    As gentle as the rain
    As honest as soliloquy
    Piercing still; like pain
