just chat magazine – issue 2 is on its way

Hello Chat Friends,

If we’ve done things right (and there’s never a guarantee of that), the poll should be closing today. Thanks for the generally positive response. We’re not going to win any Pulitzers anytime soon, so we accept the criticism so far and we’ll try to take those points into account. But, truth be told, we’ve kind of discovered a liking for this silly little publication and we’re in the process of putting the next issue together at the moment.

We can’t tell you too much and it would probably raise your expectations to a level we can’t possibly achieve if we did, but we don’t think we’re giving too much with the following:

• There’s a bit of a celebrity focus: a well-known comedian-turned-actor has been frequenting our chat room right under our unsuspecting noses and another celeb has had a bit of bother with one of our chat friends.

• Good Cop, Bad Cop, Doo-Wop. Look out for the ruminations of a former American singing detective.

• Raid your piggybanks! There’s a sale on at Gemma’s Gift Shop.

• Some of the lads have got together to put on a bit of a show.

…and much more.

By the way, we were being sincere when we requested your input. We’ve still got vacancies for an editor-without-portfolio and practically all the other positions. (We’ve kind of promised the tea-lady position already, so perhaps not worth your while applying for that job). Let’s be honest, the standard of Just Chat Magazine is so low there is hardly anything to be worried about, so get in touch. We can’t promise the following comic strip will ever get published in completion (probably a small mercy, actually). That’s because we’ve been having problems censoring where our processes have been taking us, but it’s making us giggle and we thought we’d share.
