So Alan Turing, who was chemically castrated for the crime of being gay, is forgiven by HM The Queen!

Not the 49,000 others convicted for the same crime.

Turing’s work at Bletchley Park shortened the war by two years, it’s said. Hitler could have obtained the Atomic Bomb in that period.

When you use a word processor, etc etc etc, you can thank Alan Turing.

So we’ve forgiven him. Ha! Good on bloody us!!

well, nothing wrong with being full of the Christmas spirits…

but I was complaining about the treatment of Alan Turing…

and of the 49,000 other gays who were convicted merely for being gay..those were bad days before 1967.

Gordon Brown did apologise back in 2006 for the appalling way in which Turing had been treated, but this govt. refused even a pardon until now.

Two years after his castration, Turing killed himself.

I think each and every one of us should be free to be whatever we are (gay, bi, hetero), as long as we’re not harming any other living being in the process :)

Definitely bad days in the past.
