    Any advice for someone moving to Glasgow for work? I don’t know that part of Scotland at all but we’re moving there just before Easter.
    From looking at things like this http://www.countrywidescotland.co.uk/forsaleoffice/east-kilbride/430/ it looks like it’s cheaper to live outside of Glasgow but what’s public transport like around there? Is East Kilbride too far to commute?

    Thanks, I’ll have a look in the other forum, if I can find my way ;)
    We’ve decided we don’t want to live in the city and we’ve worked out whereabouts in Glasgow we need to be and Greenock is looking good. All we need to do now is work out the Scottish property system and we’ll be fine :)
    I get the fixed offer thing, just need to work out who does the home report, us or them. From this http://www.hdg.co.uk/regions/Greenock it looks like the seller does, but from the CAB website it sounds like we need to, as well as still having a survey done. It’s making my brain hurt…
