Hasn’t hit the east coast yet..apparently in a couple of hours..doesn’t seem as bad as 87?

Nowhere near as bad as 87 but we have a lot of trees down and some flooding. I’m relieved to say the oak tree in my garden and the neighbour’s trees are still standing albeit a bit lighter on leaves, and only one fence panel – a neighbour’s – down. Lookin at the local news it looks like we got off lightly though.

Hope everyone stayed safe in JC land.

No problem at all here ……on saying that , we did make sure everything was secured in the garden in readiness.

Luckily we always seem to get away lightly here thank goodness.

Oh and …. never heard a thing …… slept like a baby

Didn’t seem a patch on 1987 when I was blown all the way home while trying to do a paper round. But I didn’t have any power for 65 hours! Never had anything like that before. I actually find the damaged cables while out for one of my walks, but it still took two more days for them to be fixed.
