Tintin’s send off yesterday was amazing, music included dedicated to him and gail ‘born to be my baby’ by bon jovi and ended with Fear of the dark by iron maiden.

I met some amazing dedicated friends of tinnys, one lady actually came from her hospital bed and went back straight after the funeral, that is the feeling of loyalty and friendship that tinny generated.

a big thank you to Gareth tinnys stepson, he organised the whole thing and for a 21 year old with all that on his shoulders along with coping with his own grief and the practical tasks when someone close to you dies arranged everything.

i wont mention all the names because actually they know who they are , some travelling from north Yorkshire and a good friend who came up from Kent and took me and another friend to the funeral.

to each and every one of tinnys friends, those that were able to attend the celebration of his life , and those who have put such love and dedication in ensuring tinnys short time on this ride called life will not be ‘just’ another soul passing through but will be remembered i send you total love and respect.

(I wont raise a glass to you……not till the hangovers worn off at any rate :/) lol , and too tinny? i hope you rocked the night away with us xxxxx

Over the last few years I have read a few posts by Tintin about how his illness had affected him

They were very powerful in the respect that he could explain what happened to him and how his life had changed completely

I applaud his dignity right to the end and hope he now has found peace

But the send off he received was fantastic as it seems it was the definition of his life

tinny had cystic fibrosis and what many people dont realise its in the genes of one or both parents, nothing can stop these young sufferers from leading an all too short life, even transplants while giving them a short length extra on this life this illness still claims them.

its a disease that attacks all the organs in the body but expecially the lungs, young people are now able to pass more peacefully than years ago when respritory problems left them in excrutiating pain and fighting for breath.

there are so many worthwhile charities out there but research seems to focus on the bigger well known ones that can affect many people such as cancer.

without wishing to taint this thread by blaming the government for lack of money that is ultimately a factor with this charity mainly raising research money form benefactors or hard earned funding money.

its a horrible disease but then are so many others , motor neurone, cancer, fibromyalgia, heart defects just to name a few.

one thing i feel none of us must miss is actually how precious life is, i have had a big dose of reality lately with one thing and another, and i like many bemoan my situation, then, suddenly (if you are lucky) something triggers the thinking ‘what if one day all this goes’ ….beleive me a wake up call for anyone.

all in all life isnt a bowl of cherries for many people, but, as i’ve said before, no one can save the world but what they can do, is do their best in their own little corner of the world.

I miss tinny so much , the world is definately a sadder place not only without him but i’m sure each and every one of us could name people who have passed on that if not on a daily basis but from time to time still feel the physical and emotional pain losing a loved one brings.

funny thing is and i hope others can relate to this, in the current world communications come in all forms, firstly tinny may have not been my birth son but he came closest to the son i never had, and secondly on the way home after his funeral i had the urge to phone him and tell him how great the wake went and that so many more people were ther than he ever expected……… crazy perhaps but i suspect its more about being funny lil human beings, often with our own agenda, our own funny lil ways, what we do have to know is that each and everyone of us is unique…….. or are we?
