Every year I get a Christmas card from an old colleague that I haven’t seen or spoken to in over 18 years, and every year it includes a round-robin newsletter telling me all about her exciting year with her wonderful husband and amazing children with all their incredible achievements…this year’s arrived yesterday, so today this on the BBC website, Christmas round-robin letters: the revenge! really hit the spot for me. :lol:

What do you think of them?jenjen I posted a couple of years ago about the same thing having received one from someone I’m not often in touch with and who I considered to be a tad self satisfied due to their obvious wealth and very large house in Surrey and beautiful daughters, one of which got married and apparently the wedding comprised of things that hadn’t even been invented yet ! Then the first Christmas card i received this year was from the wife who informed me the marriage had gone t1ts up after 37 years due to her husbands infidelity and lack of support for her when she had cancer. How did I feel? Like sh1t! Would I ever send a round robin, no never.
Actually I only ever get one Christmas Newsletter as she calls it and its the opposite to the one Rose receives. Its focuses on how poor the family are and how much a few extra pounds would be so useful to them and a gift from God as she puts it. She has two kids at private school BTW…. I’m sure some of her friends fall for it…..but not me! As you know I’m from Yorkshire :D :D :D
