If I could send a message to all the people in the Western world who complain about their freedom of speech being curtailed over trivial things, I’d suggest they should consider this brave young girl then appreciate just how much freedom of speech they do have. Things that we take for granted are denied to so many

Yes, I read about that in my paper. One of many atrocities commited by radical Islam. They shoot their oppoents, tto, especially sufi priests. Sufi is a non-violent version of Islam, opposed to the salafis, who are the violent lot who want to impose strict sharia law.

I read on the BBC website that the Taliban have targeted this girl..they say they’re going to finish the job next time, so she’s had to be moved to a military hospital.

“A 14-year-old Pakistani girl shot in the head by Taliban gunmen has been transferred to a new military hospital with better facilities…

The Taliban, who accuse the young activist of “promoting secularism”, have said they will target her again.

There have been widespread protests in Pakistan against the shooting.”

What a horrible fate for women in this region.

    Could it have been avoided?
