A missing 5 year old presumed abducted.
I hope she comes home safe and well and soon.
I always find these cases scary and worrying. I try not to think about them too much, as they really are disturbing, but they have to be thought about.
A very long time ago (1931) Fritz Lang made a film called M, about a child sex murderer. It still grips today, though it was one of the first talkies.
Relevant point number one is the political capital made out of it. The Nazis were on teh rise when M came out, and Goebbels called Lang in to congratulate him, offering him a good job if he joined their movement. He said the film was what the Nazis were all about, highlighting the need for vigilante action against dangerous perverts such as homosexuals and pedophiles.
Lang turneD away in disgust (he fled Germany when Hitler did come to power) but here is
relevant point number 2 – Lang told Goebbels that the child sex murderer would always be a problem in society, that vigilantism was the worst answer (see the film on this), and that the main lesson of the movie was for parents to

Oh dear, I’m not normally a pessimist, but………….. :(
Like many in this area I still remember the time between Sarah Payne going missing and being found.
My thoughts are with the parents living through their worst nightmare and hoping for her safe return.
They must be going through hell.
I’ve thought about this, and I reckon they possibly do know who took her. If the van was seen, it probably means that the other kids knew who picked her up, and the police are being cagey to trap whoever it is. I dunno, maybe I have watched too many Crimewatch programmes and read too many thrillers…….but, it kinda makes sense not to reveal too much by them?!
I think the first 24hrs is crucial. I am going to stop being a pessimist and gonna hope to hell they find her before summit awful happens.
Touching wood and everything crossed, and a little prayer to whatever is out/up there despite the fact I’m not religious.

I just get really anxious when these things happen..keep looking at the news…I did at the time of Soham, though I think everyone did and does…
So, they have arrested a man they suspect of abducting this little girl, whilst there is a chance she is still alive…. am I a bad person for suggesting they inject him with a truth drug or something to get him to tell them where she is? or is that against his human rights?
(I did consider suggesting they beat it out of him but dare not suggest that here)
If they have the man who took her in the Range Rover (Apparently it is the vehicle the children saw) then why the hell can’t he just put the parents out of their misery?
I think we all know the outcome will be grim. It’s been too long now :(

Forget human rights in this case, Did he think about her rights before he took her?
It time for zero tolerance these stories are happening closer together its becoming one a week. Turn the tables when their caught leave out human rights and let the fecker starve to death just as thei about to die save them then start it all over again till they beg to die then let them be ripped apart by savage dogs
