It’s awful hard sleeping outside, even in summer.

You get your body temperature up then snug down best as possible on some park bench, and find slumber quite easily.

But come the predawn, with the unsettled feeling of waking on a hard surface, alone, and you’ll find that the dew isn’t on your nose, nor on your ears,

but actually rests inside your bones and upon your eternal soul.
