Winnie johnson , mother of Keith Bennett lost her fight with cancer and died earlier today. there cant be a person around whose heart didnt go out to this lovely lady, expecially in the light of the latest news that Ian Brady has alledgedly told someone where the body of Keith is.
this lovely lady over the years has held herself with dignity and patience , goodnight god bless Winnie and I truly hope you and Keith are finally reunited.

18 August, 2012 at 12:43 pm #507101I heard this news with dismay cath…. if Ian Brady really does know where her son is buried after all this time not to tell her is beyond belief…. what causes a person to be so evil? Even the most vile criminals seek forgiveness with time…. not this evil man… I know a few men in my life who would love 10 minutes with him.
RIP Winnie…. maybe you are at peace with your son now…. gosh I hope so.
18 August, 2012 at 4:05 pm #507102Someone on my facebook said , she hoped they found keith before winnie’s funeral so they could both be buried together , I truly hope they do however unlikely.
18 August, 2012 at 6:32 pm #507103Brady playes mind games. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was nothing in the letter. Let’s hope, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
That lady became a symbol of a dedicated mother. Words fail in the end.
I am old enough to remember theose murders. Keith seemd a nice lad. I reckon Brady and Hindley had real fun hurting him.
I also think it would be wrong to let Brady go to a prison. Like Winnie Johnson, I think he should be kept in the mental hospital. Force-feed him until he dies.
He was a great admirer of Nazi Germany, and Hindley admired the way he could read Men Kampf in German.
So when he dies I think he should have a decent burial. His coffin wrapped in a swastika, a portrait of Hitler and Mein Kampf to keep him company, and an unmarked grave so that people wouldn’t know where to go and urinate.
19 August, 2012 at 1:07 pm #507104A very sad ending to a very sad story …….. all she wanted was closure……40 years to have suffered as she did really is barbaric.

20 August, 2012 at 9:16 am #50710620 August, 2012 at 10:40 am #507107ok ive kept out of this, thus far,but i want/need to say this, ian brady is a million percents intended,i sort of knew he was playing his pathetic mind games, all winnie needed was closure, alas she as died r,i,p,and brady never had the balls did he?,now to me a few questions need to be answered
1.if you were that nurse who recived the letter off ian brady, would you break your hypocratic oath and risk your job to tell a poor ill old lady where her son was buried?
2.after 48 years of constant conern and worry do you not think she at least deserved the honesty and clousre from ian brady?
3. after 48 years is that perverts mind shot to bits?
4. also after 48 year saddleworth moore the terrain and landsape has surely changed how can ian brady be able to say exactly where the body is as he has been locked up for so long??
5. myra hindley tied this rouse, it turned out she only wanted a ride in the helicopter?
6. who said he was buried on sadle worth moore? just because all his other victims where how can we tell he is actually tell he is telling the truth?
7. so to sum up, all in all if brady was doing this to get his right to die approved, if i were the government i would say i would accede to his demands and say you tell me where his body is buried and we will give you thr right to die
but, then tell him we were only joking…. put him in a dog kennel, and let him die in his own excrement.
20 August, 2012 at 10:55 am #507108n.b sorry about the spelling mistakes i,e rouse, moore etc,but the woman upstairs, knocked on my door, said watchaupto,i said im trying to type this, she said “give it here dictate to me
