    Who remembers them?

    They were either pink, blue or black and usually with a plaster on the arm to keep it attached to the frame.

    No class photo in the 70s or 80s is without a pair.

    Gawd I do – had to wear them at school when I was a youngster – oh all those years’ ago! – with a patch on one eye to stop a squint! Bliddy thing didn’t work and ended up having to have an op anyway – absolutely ghastly things!

    I had mine at 5…they were black…they forgot to put a plaster on so my eye remained wonky..they fogot to give me the operation…really

    I thought I looked pretty cool for a day or two, carrying this strange contraption on me head..then the jibe specky foureyes began, and an inferiority complex with it..grrr..
