Yes I know I’m sad …… but because I love the Lloyd Webber musical I’m sort of hooked on the search for a new Jesus…

Don’t quote me on this but I think this musical is supposed to be based on a true story :D

I haven’t got a favourite yet … a few very good ones… and all so good looking… I wonder what Jesus would have made of it all :D

When my daughter was little girl I used to take her to dance classes… there were two sisters who were quite talented who also went to the dance classes.. they were older than my daughter but we sometimes watched them as their lesson was after my daughters….

Anyway these sisters attended Intake Performing Arts school in Leeds… and their mum asked if I would like the see the schools latest production which was Jesus Christ Superstar… so off we went …. the older sister sang “I dont know how to love him” she had what I think is called stage presence… her name was Melanie Brown later to be known as Mel B of the Spice Girls :D

I loved the show… saw that production and later another school production both were excellent…. loved the Elvis section :D

Mrs T..a new Jesus? I saw the film, complete with dirty mac and sunglasses to hide my cool identity, back in 1973 in Birmingham (the Jerusalem of the Midlands), and it was hailed as the New Jesus back then.

I always found the original story quite moving.

When I was a boy, and very impressed with Jesus’s magic tricks (he was even better than David Nixon), I was very upset when he got killed. Nasty grownups, always spoiling a good party. But the Resurrection was the neatest trick – when the teacher read that one out, I looked at the other kids with a knowing smile – he’s done it Thought they’d got him, hadn’ they, but they hadn’t 8)

Don’t remember any Elvis section. Wasn’t he resurrected, too?

Do you mean the Elvis section in Joseph? The song was about the 7 fat cows and 7 skinny cows, sung by the Pharoah?

You would think that a town with nearly 200,000 people in would have a better theatre than the wyvern. We always get the b listers here like Keith Harris and that green thing.
