I’ve only just started making these on my media player and so far I’ve got Folkfaced (one for Soulie, there), Skawing and Ambodub as the titles of the three fifteen hour audiofests. Do you use playlists? What do you call them?
2 November, 2005 at 1:39 am #160540i have a few play lists on my media player, including such things as
northern soul (pp arnold, ect ect)
pre 90s (small faces, the jam, the who ect ect)
acoustic/folk (richie thompson, kate rusby, john mccusker, simon an garfunkle).. ect ect)
light rock ( weller, the delays, magic numbers ect ect)
heavy rock (nirvana, guns an roses, ect ect)
instrumental (mike oldfield, the players, lemon jelly ect ect)
the brit pop era (ocs, stone roses, oasis, levellers, charlatans ect ect)i kind of add and swap things around on them often, i got over 7000 tracks now on my pc, a lot of albums and a lot of artists, most of the time when i’m listening to my music, i just put it onto randon and player them all in what ever order

2 November, 2005 at 1:58 am #160544nope, not without losing quailty, i have mine on the best possible when i decode them from the cds.. i am currently using over 40 gig of my hard drive for music only, which is on its own partition
the freaky thing is.. out of the 7000 tracks.. nearly a 1000 of them are of ocean colour scene, i have about 5 full electric gigs of theres, and 3 acoustic gigs.. plus all the albums, singles, and early demo’s of songs never released

Was this the best way to do it in the first place? Could I have ripped them as MP3s or something to better effect? Will MP3 players play wma files when I finally get ’round to joining the twenty-first century?
