This is a weird case isn’t it….. did anyone watch the Panorama programme last night about it? I’m not sure if the guy is innocent or guilty…..would a man really have his wife murdered on their honeymoon? it was all very suspicious though… anyway he will find out today if he has won his appeal against extradition…. any thoughts?

30 March, 2012 at 9:18 am #491129The report is very vauge, where was he when she was abducted?
I dont think he killed her (well, i dont know but like to think he didn’t) footage shows them quite in love.
My friend works with a Sout African lad, very nice chap. He was telling us a story of when his mam got shot on her way to work. She stopped at some traffic lights when a kid approached her window, pulled out a gun and tried to shoot her thru the open window, Luckly she too carries a gun (apparently a lot of them do) and she took out hers and the kid ran away into traffic!!!!
S. Africa, no matter what the papers say is still a dangours place where many have guns and armed robbery is very much alive and well,
and this couple look well off, so its not a stretch to think that the wife got kidnapped for money, clearly went wrong and she was killed – of course the S. African police would do everything to claim their Country is now peacefull and try to blaime the outsider (the husband). If innocent I hope they catch the person/people responsible.

A lot hangs on if the South African police have the actual words written in a text message between Dewani and the taxi driver when he and Annie (his Wife) were in the car… Its proven he did exchange texts with the taxi driver….. but not what was said…. the driver said it was confirming dewani had placed the money for the murder in the pocket in the back of the driver seat.
You have to ask yourself why would he be exchanging texts with the man driving the car…… very peculiar. Have to say thinking about it again now kenty….. very suspicious…. will be interested to see what you think after you have watched panorama.
30 March, 2012 at 9:49 am #491132It’s not unusual to have exchanges with drivers in countries like that….when we go to India we have drivers (chauffeurs if you like) as driving is scary out there!! So we know the drivers and will be occasions you need to contact them etc…not sure if he was a designated driver or a random taxi driver though..will see
30 March, 2012 at 4:09 pm #491133The extradition has been temporarily halted on the grounds of his mental health…. but the judge did say as soon as he is able he must be extradited in the interests of justice.
31 March, 2012 at 8:54 am #491134I watched this last night Mrs T….I think the program has left even more questions unanswered and to be challenged….I don’t think my view on him being guilty has changed…perhaps made it a teeny weeny bit stronger…I know I commented on the driver contact comment but Dewani’s contact seems a bit strange
However…I do feel thats like most situations…ie conspiracy theories etc…if you start delving into peoples footsteps….oddities…questions can be found to be asked and doubts can be embedded31 March, 2012 at 9:05 am #491135I feel exactly the same kenty…. what a beautiful girl she was…. i cannot imagine the misery her family are experiencing right now…… i hope justice will prevail…. but i fear her parents will never recover…. so sad.
