Weird stories are ain’t they!? In this part of France spring is noted to have started when you see the cranes fly over, and the same for the beginning of winter. They flew over late this year – end of April, and haven’t flown over yet for the winter! Quite a spectacular sight – beautifully formed by thousands of birds. :D

Most airports across Britain are closed today, nevertheless the single engined noorduyn norseman aircraft takes off, disappearing quickly in to low cloud.

Also today in 1981 as the country is being flooded by a sharp thaw, mini icebergs are floating in the Wash at Kings Lynn in norfolk-its the last incident of sea ice on the east coast of England.
