Do you like going to the Sales? Do you wait for the sales to start before purchasing certain items?
With the frenzy of Boxing Day sales starting yesterday. It was estimated a staggering 2 Billion Pounds was spent yesterday alone.
I havn’t the patience to rummage around to look for bargains. Inevitably in the past I have come away without anything because it’s too much hard work. My sister however is one of those people who find the most amazing bargains. She says she doesn’t spend hours hunting but they are just there lol.
When I used to work in a shopping centre years ago, there used to be people queuing up for the Next Sale at 4am! I never ever find anything in the Next Sale. A friend who worked there said the majority of their sale stock is catalogue returns etc.I have decided to buy a new leather Suite though, they are big enough to spot and I will be looking in the Sales. But not before at least next week when it dies down a bit.

The doors opened at 9am and through them poured 100s of eager shoppers… funniest thing was they all appeared to be chinese? There was an immediate queue at the Mulberry shop… thought there was a recession not a single thing in there much less than £1000.
I’m like you Kent I prefer orderly shopping… I hate crowds and having to queue.
Teapot
27 December, 2010 at 6:40 pm #457781I hate the sales, it’s like going to a huge jumble sale, lots of people with sharp elbows snatching tat out each others hands with an evil glint in the eye. Funny how that bargain that looked so perfect in the shop never seems so perfect when you get it home either…in fact the only thing it often seems perfect for is the next charity collection bag.
Nope, I avoid them like the plague
27 December, 2010 at 7:16 pm #457782It’s only a bargain if it’s something you actually wanted in the first place and is reduced! Sales . . . Stuff em! I don’t like shopping much anytime!
