It’s that time of year when we all go gooey eyed over the smaller members of our families being in the school plays…
I wondered what everyone was in their plays when they were children? If anything went wrong on stage? How random was your part (eg the lobster in love actually)? Any cute stories to tell? What are your young ones doing this year??
Ok to start, my 5 year old is a christmas tree this year and my 9 year old is a dancer. I wonder where the dancer was in the stable but there ya go lol
I was always some random, like a roman soldier but in the last year of junior school I got to be one of Jospehs brothers in Joseph and his amazing technicolour dreamcoat… wowzers! lol
Ok a cute story..
In nursery my little one was Mary… every mother’s dream and she looked soooo cute! But what filled me with horror was she point blank refused to wear knickers in those days and she always had leggings on at nursery as a result… as mary they took her leggings off so she was going commando… I spent the whole 30 mins praying to God that she wouldn’t lift her skirt… It would have given a whole new essence to the nativity if Mary so virginal turned into a flasher! lol
Last year a little boy chundered all over the stage in the middle of my nephews production lol NICE

I still say that when it came to a choice tween me and eleanor power, she only got mary cos her dad was mates with the headmaster! ( and she had buck teeth!!!)
I was Mary and I hated it. Not my choice and I didn’t want to wear a sack with a tea towel on my head. And the plastic doll that played Jesus was ugly.
I wonder how many kids actually want to be in school plays and how many are forced into doing it?

Well just to pee on ya bonfires… At the play yesterday everyone filmed it on camcorders and phones!
My daughter did a fantastic performance of “boogie Sophie Santa” that well known classic from the nativity lol hmmm!

:lol:I don’t remember being in any school Nativity plays or seeing any as a child…either we didn’t have them or they were so traumatic I’ve blocked them out of my memory! :shock: :lol:
