Rose you asked foe a recipe for a curry a while ago thought id give it ago again hope its been worth the wait
5 tble of veg oil
2 tble mustard seed
1 tabl fenugreek seeds
3 fresh green chillies deseeded and sliced thinly
a handfull of curry leaves
two thumb sized pieces of ginger grated it coursely
3 onions peel and chop
1 teaspoon of curry powder
1 teaspoon of turmeric
6 toms chopped
14 fl ounces of coconut milk
just a pinch of salt
4 skinless chicken breasts sliced into strips about half inch
1 table spoon of corriander seeds crushed up

31 October, 2010 at 1:31 am #451277i dont like coconut milk… hell no ! nah i prefer my food Indian ! or good old fashioned scottish.. nah the Indians have the best grub ! We have a mixture of the 2 here.

I gave Rose a much much simpler receipe (like the one I made the other day and my son was shocked it was so tasty) and she’s tried it and said it was deliscous…unless she was sparing my feelings :lol:
Coconut milk is used more in cooking in Southern India…Kerala etc…I’ve been in Indian restaurants and not even known what some of the dishes are. Most of the dishes are reformulated and designed for the English palate.

Try heinz tomato soup, curry powder and a little cream with some chicken fried with some onions, or whatever – easy peasy! lol
ps I do cook curry from scratch too!
