Once upon a time……
When we didn’t agree with someones comment, we would just agree to disagree.
Doesn’t that apply anymore? Everyone has to just try and be better than the last person. It’s not debating when it gets personal. And yes, I’m referring to the boards. None of us know anyone personally here…so what’s with the personal insults???
It takes a bigger person to just not reply or stoop to the level of reply from a previous poster. Let alone forgetting your manners!Sheeeeeeeeeesh!

I couldn’t agree more.
The thing is, it’s not just these boards, I’ve noticed it on other forums I use too. And when you do try to be the bigger person and not respond to the comments, you find yourself being pursued with snipes on every post you make. I have left one of my favourite spiritual forums because of the increasing aggression and lack of spirituality amongst the majority of the posters!
Maybe some people are feeling so impotent and frustrated in real life yet having to toe the line and keep their thoughts and feelings to themselves that they come online to try to release all that pent-up frustration, aggression and bitchiness. Not that that excudes the behaviour in the slightest. :-k
