I saw someone else say their post had been deleted on this, i’ll take my chances.
I didn’t even know he was dead!! such was my interest in the case I spose, not botheredwatching the news, and I certainly don’t waste money on newspapers.
So not only did it cost thousands, tracking him down and then trying to talk him down before this loser shot himself, it’s now going to cost the taxpayer more thousands because his family are demanding a second post mortem cos theyre not satisfied with the first one!! bloody shame about that eh!!! i’m sure the families of the people he shot and killed aren’t too pleased either, I haven’t seen anyone speak for them, least of all the police. Before we all get carried away feeling sorry for this prik, cos he had no father,,,,,,awwwwww  lets not forget he went to prison for not only beating his girlfreind, but his children too
11 July, 2010 at 6:38 pm #443468I have just watched an interview with his brother, who stated that he did not in any way condone what his brother did, nor did he try and justify it, simply stated that he was not this crazed pyschopathic killer that has been portrayed, he was a soul pushed over the edge.
I was in tears watching this broken man who watched all of this unfold, helpless, wanting to talk to his brother, he saw it and heard it all on tv. Personally I don`t think there was ever gping to be any other outcome, and it transpires tazers were used.
He had years living with a mother who is mentally ill, years of abuse, felt persecuted by the police, warned that he was after his ex, hated police yet he was released, he was cornered, negotiating on a riverbank, they removed the media (and the excuse he may have access to it is simply absurd… what he has a lappy on the riverbank!?) There is a possibility there were two shots fired, I think this guy was let down.I do not in any way justify or condone what he did, but it is soooo easy to condemn, all I saw was a man that had lost control and was in such inner hell that nothing else mattered.
11 July, 2010 at 6:48 pm #443469The police officer Moat shot in the face may have been left permanently blinded.
Doctors battled for days to save PC David Rathband’s sight but he has now been told their efforts might not have succeeded.
Moat hit the 42-year-old father of two in the face and upper body when he fired twice into the side window of a police car.
The officer’s twin Darren said: “He was unarmed, parked, doing his job.

“This coward has not only wrecked his life but the lives of so many people, including his children.”
FORMER nightclub bouncer Raoul Moat was a drug-dealing thug with links to the Newcastle underworld.
He was a swaggering doorman in the city’s famous Bigg Market until he was caught carrying a knuckle-duster and 5ft Samurai sword in 2005.
And he used his extensive links to organised crime gangs in the city to obtain a sawn-off shotgun just hours after coming out of jail.
But despite his involvement in the Tyneside underworld, Moat’s first conviction came only this year when he was jailed for 18 weeks for assaulting a child.
Northumbria Police have confirmed Moat had also been arrested on 12 occasions and was charged with seven separate offences.
Five years ago, he stood trial at Newcastle Crown Court for having a knuckle-duster and an ornamental Japanese sword.
He boasted to the jury about his skills as a brawler and demonstrated the best way to inflict serious harm using the illegal weapons.
Misunderstood ? Hard done by ? A thug, a steroid riddled thug who didnt have the guts to face what he’d done and what the punishment would be. Why the police would be questioned at all I have no idea. It’s saved £40,000 a yr of taxpayers money at least.
11 July, 2010 at 6:50 pm #443470she wants locking away too, she aint right in the head
11 July, 2010 at 7:11 pm #443471She does not want locking up, she is simply displaying the classic behaviour of a battered wife/partner. And whatever he has done, he is still the father of her daughter.
11 July, 2010 at 7:15 pm #443472And the man who shot her, threatened her sister, classicly mental you ask me
11 July, 2010 at 7:17 pm #443473Yes he was, but she isn’t, she’s just a classic battered wife.

That isn`t relevant to her feelings, it`s possible to abhor someone yet still love them, he is the father of her child, without that she wouldnt have her child….. and that is a hell of a bond
