    Who cares?

Seriously though, there is thought that it is natural, a female brain in a male body and vice versa

I do wonder, people who have this ” condition “, do they consider this a defect? If so, in what context this defect can be given ? A mental ” condition ” perhaps ? Or a physical ” condition ” ? Perhaps both. I do think that whichever context this “condition ” may be considered, the person with this ” condition ” must be extremely confused.

Not having had any personal experience of this or indeed any such condition, i do actually think i can understand the emotional trauma on discovering this ” feeling “. Not least because of the stigma attached to any such condition. It is apparent that this and other conditions run far deeper than the public in general are willing to accept. I can only imagine and summise the feeling of isolation and fear of making public these very demanding conditions. I myself congratulate those who suffer the scathing and humiliation at the hands of those with no thought control, who then publicise their condition.

I’m quite clear on who I am.
I was distraught by the fact I had ended adrogynity and thus entered puberty when I was 13, which I guess triggered some of my earliest gender dysphoric thoughts; which didn’t fall short of going to bed at night thinking I wanted to be female, expecting to lose my ‘middle unit’ in the morning. It created something of a cycle of depressiveness but, I didn’t bother alluding about it to anybody for about 3 years. I came out to about 1 or 2 people, nobody in my immediate family; they dismissed it as a phase. I was near breakdown point until, 18 months back, I came out to my parents. They’d known I was slightly ‘queer’ in my mannerisms; they actually asked me when I was struggling if it was because I was gay first (I’d be happy living as one in the context of my gender, but this goes deeper.)
I consider it a mixture of a mental and physical condition (in my view, a mental and physical being/state, almost akin to epiphonomecal dualism), but not a disease; it has a true, non-infectious, non-pathological basis, as is increasingly being uncovered by both the cognitive and neurological sciences.

Wo Ai Ni Cixi…… I wish you the best of luck sweetie.
I cant imagine what it would be like to be going through this confusion.. and how strong you are for getting through it. The physiological affects are so much deeper than we can fathom.. which is why I will not participate in this ignorant poll…. The spirals of depression, unable to escape…some resort to suicide… I’m so proud of you.
Here is the Transgender Flag… Wear it with pride…

I’m confused reading Gaz’s reply
Can we please move the polls to the poll section, adults being rebellious for such simple things is very childish, most of us are 40 somthing (except Pete  ) we don’t need some jumped up little 19 yr old who has a problem with authority and feels the need to rebel just for the sake of it to dictate to us what is the right thing to rebel against or not. Hence the reason I have not voted on any of the polls, that and also the subject of the polls being even more childish. 8)
And yes, where is Martin, the guy in charge..anyone remember him? The guy who deletes threads….but not the right ones  The guy who pm’d me once for making ONE very general comment on a thread someone complained about, threatening to ban me from the boards. You know, like when your at school and the teacher always tells of the wrong person…….that guy…Mr Martin
