I have just been reading an article in the paper about Tesco’s in Wales putting a sign up banning people from wearing their pyjamas in the store to shop. The main culprits seem to be early morning shoppers waiting outside the store before its even opened for a packet of cigarettes.
This coinsides with a lady I saw the other day when I was driving home near my son’s school dressed in her pyjamas, slippers and a great big fluffy pink nightgown! It was 3 O’clock in the afternoon for crying out loud. I had to take a double look as I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and honestly swerved the car.
What is wrong with people? I often get people coming into our shop wearing their slippers. Wearing indoor footwear outdoors then lounging around the house on your settee etc is not hygenic apart from the fact its skanky!

I completly agree with you Kenty. There was a picture of a woman in her pyjamas and slippers and big hoopy earings, in the paper. Apparantly she said that she simply doesn’t have time to get “all dolled up” in the mornings because she has 3 kids. So she takes the kids to school in her pyjamas. She’s taking the kids to scool not going to a nightclub for heavens sake!!

Why don’t these stupid women think? Why don’t they get everything the kids need for school the next day, ready the night before, including packed lunches? It isn’t difficult. I do it. Why doesn’t she also set her alarm for half an hour earlier in the morning, so that she has time for a cuppa before she has to get the kids up.

It’s just nothing short of laziness not to mention slovenly and unhygenic. I wouldn’t dream of going shopping in my pyjamas. How long does it take to put on a pair of jeans, a clean top and brush your teeth and hair in the morning? 10 minutes? Have these women no self respect? Would they allow their children to go round the supermarket in their nightwear?

I think Tescos are quite right to implement this ban. Stupid lazy woman. Get a grip.

Whats wrong with a decent pair of white silk pyjamas and some feather adorned mules? Nobody would complain in Tescos if people went shopping with a fake fur coat and nothing underneath!!! I do tend to agree with you kenty about the slippers though… you should have two pairs, one for round the house and the other pair for shopping in.

    :D

I thought most people only got dolled up when going out on the razz or a special evening? Like you say Bat how long does it take to brush your hair and put some jeans on. It takes me 15mins to have a shower get dressed and put some lippy on in the mornings. Although with a face like mine admitedly I should take 3 hours but at least im not in my Jimjams

*have worn my slippers in the yard and my wellies to tesco’s many a time so ner :!:
A question though to the perfect dressers out there, if you wear your slippers around the house, but you need to walk down your garden path to get your washing off the line on a nice summers day, do you change out of your slippers into outdoor footwear ? or just nip out in your slippers ??

Shows they have confidence though! What’s the problem?.. At least these people are clothed! IF they appear naked, then thats when we should start worrying! I had no complaints when I went to the 24 hour garage on Horse-Back, wearing nothing but a Gimp Mask and Borat style thong.

    *Calls Pete*.. (Picture Please)..

I was rushed to hospital 6 years ago and was mortified when a nurse noticed I had gone in with one shoe and one slipper on! High on codeine I couldnt stop giggling but I will never make that mistake again.

So no I couldnt go shopping in my slippers or any other night attire for that matter.

Good job you don’t wash as well then as that would take much longer!!!

Well if its raining and I’m rushing out there to get my washing so it doesn’t get wet, i take all my clothes off of course and go out as nekked as the day I was born. No point getting my negligee and fluffy mules ruined by the rain now is there

If its a sunny day…. I do the same thing…for the vitamin D of course :D
