I love my sparkly shoes………

All preparations in place for a fun girlie weekend starting next Friday , thought I’d make a special effort for the fun night out on the Saturday.

Booked to have those nail tips done for the first time till I picked walnuts last week and now have stained black fingers and nails and after scrubbing them for 4 days with Mr. Muscle I’m still too embarrassed to keep the appointment. My hairdresser got stroppy and wont come and cut my hair because I let someone else cut it last time (I’m sure the shaggy sheep dog look is due a come back).

Nevermind I’ll still feel good in my Dorothy sparkly shoes, well that was until I jumped up to let the Tesco delivery man in, stubbed my toe on the chair and now its swollen to the size of Bulgaria.

Oh well I’ll have freshly dyed eyebrows and a hair free chin as I thought, I didnt bank on some dirty rotten low flying midge taking a chunk out of my left cheek leaving me looking like Marlon Brando in the God Father and weeping yellow puss.

On taking my favourite coat out of the wardrobe for an airing I noticed I lost the matching belt as the belt loop had broken and is probably still dangling in the mud caught in the back door of someones car.

In an effort to loose a couple of pounds I wasnt doing badly till someone had a Birthday at work and brought in sausage rolls and cream cakes, selfish cow.

On reflection I considered how much harder it is for the hostess preparing the house, organising the entertainment and such like, until she mentioned I’d be sharing a bedroom with her exceedingly large dog and would I mind making a cheesecake so it can have a taste!

I’m off out now to go and buy a new top, naturally all the nice ones will be in Stick Insect sizes and I’ll no doubt end up with a grey tarpaulin with red stripes going round the middle!
