With the government nationalising the east coast service run by National Express, I wonder if it will see a return of the name ‘British Rail’. I hope so.
Perhaps a more accurate name would be “British Fail”.

Daylight bliddy robbery to travel by train these days & the coach, well …… you need to leave a week before you want to arrive ! :roll:
and i sweat and toil so hard to keep the track up to standard so the trains can run why do i bother

I use the east coast main line alot as I live in the south but my family are in the north and I find it easier travelling on the train with 2 children than driving all that way on my own with them. I have to say, if you go through one of the fare brokers like thetrainline or easyrail and book in advance the tickets are much cheaper. I have never found fault with the service. They are always on time, although sometimes a little oversubscribed.
