Help needed please in simple terms

I want to insert on each product on my website a link to another website so that you can see a street map but I dont want all the long address thingy to show and I just want the words “click here for street map” to show instead.

I know that it must be possible cos I have seen links on the JC forum but I dont know how to do that and I dont know if you do the same to get links on a website page???

Any help would be very much appreciated xxx

I know that the thingy you insert onto your website is called a “hyperlink” Cat but HTML (or similar) programming isn’t in my skillset I’m afraid. Sorry.

Thanks for all your help, I have managed to sort it out, just in case any one is interested you…..

    1. type in the words that you want linked and then highlight them
    2. you then click on a button that looks a bit like a paperclip (its an insert/edit link) and a box appears
    3. you cut and paste the url address including the http:// bit into the box and you can also instruct the website to open the page in a different window.
    4. you click on the “insert” button at the bottom left hand side of the box

    5. you then uncross your fingers…..and it works

    xx
