If we have pets we love them most of the time, but sometimes they can be destructive.

We have 3 cats, and so we have the usual snagged curtains, shredded bed-corners and a few unsightly stains on the carpets.

Here is the thread to dish the dirt on your moggie, pooch or parrot and moan about their destructive powers!

I absolutely hate parrots – nasty dirty smelly verminous pests riddled with ticks and mites. Thet cuss and swear at ecery opportunity; they bite the hand that feeds them; and worst of all ….. they spill their seed on the floor.

I know a story about a parrot that did something really terrible that caused a huge amount of damage to property but I’m not telling!!

With my cats, it’s the occasional cat-on-cat violence that gets me most – one of our cats is quite a bully when he feels like it.

    Cas

I had a cat, Mollie, never really grew much bigger than a kitten, but such a tyrant

Mollie was around a year old when we got a little westie, he was tiny too, he’d been
quite badly treated and we took him on, he was really a sweet little thing. They did eventually become really good freinds, used to sleep in the same basket together etc.,
In the beginning though, my god did Mollie used to terrorise him  he’d end up jumping up onto the chair and hiding behind me, and she’d sit there waiting for him to come out again, I swear she used to have the biggest smile on her face.

We adopted an abused puddy cat a year ago called Harry, who at the moment is still an indoor cat but fingers crossed we are hoping this year that we may be able to get him to venture out. Despite the toys and scratching posts we have for both the cats needless to say we are the proud owners of ripped wallpaper on the hallway and the spare bedroom walls  and a badly scratched sofa arm. Despite the damage I would rather have my pets than an immaculate damage free house.

We have an ‘involuntary’ pet ….. the neighbour’s bloody cat !!! It absolutely insists on using the back lawn as its personal toilet…. no matter what I say to it.

I’m going to borrow a dirty great big dog – with a bad attitude, a worse temper, and a big hunger (for cats).
