but these days it seems like any footballer athlete so called tv celebs have one it mashes my head to bits theres just no need for two surnames
for the love of god just stop it,its so pretentious.
Think lots are not getting married anymore and want to keep their identity as such…also in the case in our family…my niece is 1 of 2 sisters…they have no brother so her daughter has a double from her dad and mum..my other brother has no kids so she’s keeping the family name alive
As for my son….he has a daughter…only wants one child so he said when she gets married he will ask her to be double barreled to keep our surname alive
Or…..the youngsters nowadays just want to keep their own identify along with life changes

2 people…each with a DB name get married…..will the woman have a 4 barrel? If 2 women are getting married both with DB…..will they each have 4 Barrel….I havnt even thought about the kids
