Without knowing the precise details of the way your 3 computers connect to the internet, I suspect that it is via a router. This means that they all have the same IP number (when viewed externally).

Our chatroom software (in common with most other chatroom software) identifies connected users primarily by their IP number rather than by their alpha-numeric user name. Therefore if one computer is connected to the chatroom on your common IP number the software won’t allow another computer to be connected to the same Forum using that same IP number AND at the same time.

You could of course connect each computer to a different Forum and by skilful use of the three keyboards, hold three convos at the same time. All you need to do is type “lol @ ******” “LMAO” “Hi” and “Bye” at the appropriate intervals and everybody will think that you are taking a full and active part in the conversation.

Alternatively you could simply talk to each other directly and stuff the computers.

Yes I know that this view is a little bit controversial, but it had to be said eh?

I’ve witnessed this sort of thing once or twice when i used to use chat rooms…one time a couple living together actually sat at opposite ends of the living room on laptops and chatted to each other in a chat room about how it was their turn to make a cup of tea etc..it was bizarre!!

I’ve also seen this…two people who met via a chat room, actually met up in person…and could think of nothing better to do than log into the chat room, together… under one user name – which was a combination of their 2 users names – if you get me ..and chatted to the room about how happy they were together etc… I said “am I the only one who thinks its a bit sad to meet someone off a chat site, then log into the rooms to chat? Weird.
