So shes gone. The can hit the end of the path.
Apparently she’s in a bad state. She’s very brittle and has not bent under assaults whihc would have broken a more sensible person. Then, like most brittle people, she cracks.
I would feel sorry for her – she’s given it her all – but for the fact that she’s put so many people in a state of extreme anguish- Brits living in the EU, EU people living in the UK, legal migrants, descendants of legal migrants, poor children, benefits claimants trying to handle a nightmare régime which has just been condemned by the UN.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. As Donald Tusk said, please don’t waste the time we’ve given you.
if the Tories elect a no-deal Brexiteer like Boris (highly likely atm) Halloween night this year looks set to be a hair-raiser.

I was actually quite moved by her speech.

26 May, 2019 at 10:23 am #1114852At the end, her cabinet left her in a room with a bottle of whiskey and a loaded revolver.
The race to succeed her has bored me already, and it hasn’t started yet.
I doubt I’ll say anything about it until the result, unless more witty responses such as the one above are made.

29 May, 2019 at 10:15 am #111501229 May, 2019 at 12:38 pm #1115022Politics is a very very hard state of affairs no matter where you live. Many for this reason not get involved as they merely voice reactions, demand needs, and whine. Honestly at end of day those who appointed in those official seats sit around quiet table, pull off ties, smoke perhaps..and say how we get this far or to this point? What a mess..some one always is the fall guy.
I ask you seriously..
How do you really clean up another one’s mess of promises..did nothing?
Whom do you appoint who pledge who provide actions, not merely words?
How does some one fill shoes for all the people?
Is there a perfect politician out there for sure?
Only by change do we ever know if a person tried, if in some small form it got better..
Some things just lay dormant for years with no focus for future needs..or will find way to resolve self over time. Many things do not.
I praise any politician who tries at least. No easy job. Not saying I agree on all of them.
I not know this May only watched her few times, maybe read..but hey she did what felt right and tried..no?
Sinking ships hard when drowning in first place, I wish her well. Should of, could of no longer exists for her..
29 May, 2019 at 1:27 pm #1115023Linda,
she did what she felt to be right, and she gave it her all.
But her régime has been very cruel. The UN have recently singled out the system of social care and benefits for condemnation, apart from anything else.
She’s comfortably off, to say the least. Like Farage, she can retire to greener pastures than many of us.
The job she had to do was to leave the EU, and it proved too much for her. The issue dwarfs in importance any person, and she knew what she was letting herself in for.
So it’s…..
NEXT, PLEASE? If he can stay out of jail, Boris is atm the front-runner.
But he’s going to face the same executioner…let’s see if he can do it.
